Daniel Moser, mayor of the city of Vienna in the 17th century, gave his name to our brand.

You can find out how this came about in a short journey through time. Follow us to the year 1683:

All of Vienna is besieged by the Turks.
All of Vienna?

KAHLENBERG, 13. SEPTEMBER 1683:

Vienna is surrounded, the Ottoman army has been besieging the city for more than 60 days. Finally, the mainly Polish relief army under King Sobieski is formed to smash the siege ring. Outnumbered, the courageous heroes soon set out to liberate the city and defend the Occident in an assault.

KAHLENBERG, TODAY:

In gratitude for winning the battle, a church was built on the Kahlenberg. By the way, the Polish Pope, Karol Józef Wojtyła - John Paul II - visited it on the occasion of the 300th commemoration year. From here there is also an incomparable view of the city on the Danube. In the “Sobieski 1683” café you can enjoy this coffee together with Daniel Moser.

VIENNA, JANUARY 17, 1685:

Emperor Leopold I grants the Armenian Johann Diodato the privilege of serving the "Turkish drink Chava". He opened the first Viennese coffee room in today's Rotenturmstraße 14. It soon became an attraction and is the origin of the Viennese coffee house culture.

VIENNA 1ST, TODAY:

The "Daniel Moser" continues the tradition at this historical location. The very lively café in the center of Vienna has been both well-known and popular for decades. Mayor Daniel Moser would have been happy if he had been able to experience that...

Since 2003, the heart of the Daniel Moser Products company has been located in the listed, former slaughterhouse in Wiener Neustadt.
